Furniture Disposal in Zurich
Getting rid of old furniture usually means dealing with something too big to carry down a stairwell on your own and too awkward to fit in a normal bin run. We collect wardrobes, beds, tables, chairs and shelving directly from inside your home anywhere in Zurich, so you're not left dragging pieces out to the curb yourself.
Same-day slots are often available for smaller jobs, and larger clearances can be booked ahead to fit around a move or renovation. Whatever the size of the job, the price is agreed upfront and doesn't change once we arrive.

What's included
Furniture disposal covers most freestanding household pieces, collected room by room. Sofas and mattresses are common enough that they get their own dedicated pages; see Sofa Disposal and Mattress Disposal if that's mainly what you're clearing.
• Bedroom furniture: wardrobes, chests of drawers, bed frames and bedside tables
• Living room pieces: coffee tables, TV units, bookcases and display cabinets
• Dining and office furniture: dining tables, chairs, desks and office storage
• Shelving and storage: freestanding units, cupboards and small cabinets
Why book furniture disposal instead of doing it yourself
Furniture is bulky, heavy and rarely fits through a doorway as easily as it went in. Here's what makes booking with us straightforward:
Same-day availability
Smaller jobs can often be collected the same day you request a quote. This is useful when you need to clear a room quickly or have furniture that cannot stay in the property for long.
No stairs or doorways to worry about
Our team handles narrow staircases and tight doorways as part of the job. We take care of the lifting and carrying, helping you avoid the strain and hassle of moving heavy furniture yourself.
One provider for the whole job
Useful if furniture is only part of a bigger clean-out; a full office move, for example, is better covered under Office Clearance rather than booked piece by piece. This keeps the process simpler when several types of items need to be removed at the same time.
How it works
1. Describe the furniture and where it is — we give you a fixed price.
2. Book a same-day or scheduled slot, whichever suits.
3. Our team collects the pieces directly from your home.
4. Everything is transported to the appropriate recycling or disposal point.
Furniture we collect, by room
Most requests fall into one of these groups. If your item isn't listed, ask when requesting your quote and we'll confirm it's covered.

Preparing furniture for collection
You don't need to disassemble anything before we arrive — large wardrobes and bed frames are taken apart on site if that's what it takes to get them through a doorway. It helps to clear a path from the item to the entrance and let us know about any tight corners, low ceilings or lifts that need booking in advance. If your clearance is tied to a kitchen renovation rather than general furniture, cabinets and worktops are covered separately under Kitchen Disposal, so it's worth mentioning both if a job overlaps.
Same-day and scheduled collection
Not every furniture clearance happens on the same timeline. Sometimes it's a single wardrobe that needs to go before new furniture arrives this afternoon; other times it's a full flat's worth of pieces to clear ahead of a move-out date weeks away. Same-day collection works well for smaller, single-item requests where a slot is available, while planned clearances give more flexibility to combine several rooms into one visit.
When you request a quote, let us know whether timing is flexible or fixed to a specific date. Move-outs and renovations in particular tend to work better booked a few days ahead, since it gives us room to schedule around lift access, parking and building rules — details that are easy to sort out in advance but harder to fix on the day.
What we don't collect as furniture
A few item types look like furniture but are handled differently once collected. TV units and cabinets are fine to include, but the television, monitor or other electronics sitting on top fall under Electronic Waste Disposal rather than general furniture, since they're handled and transported separately. Loose offcuts of wood, old decking or untreated timber are also better suited to a wood-specific collection than a furniture booking. If you're not sure which category something falls into, just describe it when requesting your quote and we'll sort it into the right service.
