Shop Clearance in Zurich
Closing down, rebranding or handing back the keys to a retail unit all come with the same problem: a shop full of fixtures, shelving, counters and stock that needs to be out before the next tenant or fit-out crew moves in. We clear shop floors, storerooms and back offices across Zurich, removing everything from display units and till counters to leftover stock and signage.
Collection can be scheduled early in the morning, overnight or on a closed day, so it doesn't clash with trading hours next door. The price is agreed as a fixed amount before we start, whatever the size of the unit.

What's included
Shop clearance covers the working contents of a retail unit, from the shop floor through to the stockroom. Till systems, display screens, and any fridges or freezers left behind are handled the same way as items on our Electronic Waste Disposal page, kept separate from general fixtures.
• Shop floor fixtures: display units, shelving, mannequins and freestanding tables
• Counters and fittings: checkout counters, fitting rooms and signage
• Stockroom contents: storage racks, shelving and leftover stock or packaging
• Back office items: desks, chairs, filing cabinets and small office equipment
Why a shop clearance is different from a home clearance
Retail units are built around fixtures, footfall and stock rather than furniture, so clearing one out brings a different set of challenges:
Fixed and freestanding items together
Shelving bolted to walls, movable display units, and everything in between. Each item may need a different removal approach depending on how securely it is fitted and where it is positioned.
Stock as well as fixtures
Leftover inventory, packaging and point-of-sale materials often need clearing alongside the shop fittings. Handling everything together can make the final clearance quicker and easier to organise.
Loose furniture is common too
Cafes, salons and similar units often have tables, chairs or seating that fall under Furniture Disposal if that's the bulk of what's left. You can often collect these items during the same visit instead of arranging separate removals.
How it works
1. Tell us the unit size and what's being cleared — we give you a fixed price.
2. Book a slot around your trading hours or handover date.
3. Our team clears the shop floor, stockroom and any back office space.
4. Everything is transported to the appropriate recycling or disposal point.
What we clear, area by area
Every retail unit is laid out a little differently, so here's a general guide to what's covered under each part of the space:

Scheduling around trading hours
A shop clearance may need to work around a neighbouring business, landlord handover, or a new tenant's fit-out schedule. Early morning, evening, or closed-day slots are available, with visits split if access is limited. If the unit also has a basement storage area to clear, that's often easier to book as part of the same job rather than separately through Basement Clearance.
Closing down vs refitting
Not every shop clearance is a full closure. A closing-down clearance usually means everything comes out: fixtures, stock, signage and leftover office contents, leaving the unit empty for handover. A refit is more selective — certain shelving or counters are removed while other fixtures or stock stay in place until the new layout is ready.
